During an exchange term at ArtCenter College of Design Pasadena in spring 2023, .I went on a journey exploring bio based fashion. The resulting outfit is crafted solely from naturally occurring materials and embraces the beauty of the algae I encountered along the Californian coastline.
Top: Carbon black dyed latex
Neck piece: Silver wire exoskeleton, coated with seaweed, airbrushed with spirulina blue and mica powder
Skirt: Up-cycled denim, air brushed with titanium dioxide
Belt: Sculpted from paper and latex, airbrushed with spirulina blue and mica powder
Purse: bacterial cellulose leather, handle from up-cycled denim, 3D printed PLA tribal
